Two-hour workshop for one to twenty people on "Dealing with Difficult Conversations" (based on techniques of nonviolent communication). Learn to focus on solutions rather than on problems, create agreements that build trust and understanding, and learn self-empathy to more peacefully manage difficult interactions. Class held Tues, Wed, or Sat, or as we work it out. In the workshop, participants learn how to improve communication in the following areas:

  • Cut way down on criticism or judgment by identifying underlying thoughts, feelings, and needs.
  • Focus on solutions (what works) rather than on problems (what doesn't work).
  • Create agreements that build trust and understanding.
  •  Reduce misunderstandings by asking questions that clarify what others say.
  • Learn self-empathy to more peacefully manage difficult interactions.
